Puerto Vallarta

This restaurant on Sprague offers a wide selection of Mexican entrees. Tonight I had the chimichanga. The beef is well cooked and seasoned
and the tortilla was light and crispy. My mom is eating paleo style and had a tasty shrimp dish. My little sister ate free because kids
Eat free on Mondays. I didn't get a kids meal because I though the kids meal would be too small but regrettably, hers was as big as mine!

Sekani Adventure Day

http://sekaniadventureday.wordpress.com/
Why we went to this place is because my family is an outdoor family. We go camping, hiking, hunting. This event was about family time and being out in nature. The first thing we did was to climb on the rocks and exploring the area. There are big rocks there to climb and trails to hike on. The second activity was geocaching. If you don't know what that is, it's like looking for treasure with a GPS and clues. I didn't get to find a cache because there were so many kids and we were only looking for two but in our area there are over a thousand caches so my mom and I might start doing this. http://www.geocaching.com/
The next activity we tried was mountain biking. There are a lot of mountain bike and bmx trails in that area, run by the Fat Tire Club. I am a great bike rider and I wanted to try one of the jumps. I was using a bike they had there and wasn't used to it. It didn't have any handbreaks which is weird. I was going down the hill, lost focus and I couldn't stop myself. I made it to the "bridge" and got halfway across before I fell over. I got some scrapes and bruises but I was o.k. and rode back to the main area. I'm sure I won't be using that bike to go on a jump again! A boy has to get his hurt on sometimes in this life.
The last adventure we had was paddle boarding. I was pretty good at this and I was able to stand up. My mom could not stand up very well. It's like you are surfing but with a paddle.
Because this day was so fun and full of so many activities, I'll have to give Sekani Adventure Day five thumbs up. It was really cheap to have all this fun for a few hours with your family.

We ended the day at Chillspot on Monroe.http://chillspotspokane.com/ Yummy frozen yogurt after a fun day (or any time!).

Famous Daves- Missoula Montana

Whenever we are in Missoula, MT, Dad wants to go to Famous Daves because it's all about the PIG. My dad is a big fan of pork and that's why he wants to go there. If we went there every day, he'd be as fat as 200 pigs so it's good we don't live in Missoula.
The menu features hamburgers, ribs, shredded pork, pork chops, and of course cinnamon apples. My meal was all about hamburgers because that is the only thing I get at Famous Daves as I don't like pork and ribs. The burger was well cooked and the fries were good. Mom had the lunch special which is smaller portions of the big plates. Dad had his normal ribs and shredded pork. They gave us hand fried chips to taste the bbq sauces. I used the Texas Pit sauce to give it extra sweetness.
One thing I like about Famous Dave's is their decorations. The outside is made of wood and it makes you feel like you are in a hungting lodge. There are deer heads on the walls, camping gear and beer bottles. My favorite character that is on the wall is Smokey The Bear.
I'm not a big fan of a lot of the food there but I have to give this place 4 thumbs up because they put good work into the restraunt and make their food special.

Holiday Inn Expres- Missoula

I know I was thinking that all my activities would be in Spokane but I thought people who are going to travel to Montana would like to know of a good hotel- one that doesn't smell like garbage. My mom went on to Priceline and picked out a hotel. She picked Holiday Inn Express because it was cheap and looked like a good place to stay in Missoula. When we first got in the lobby, it was clean, everything was polished and there was a fireplace. The front desk person was very friendly and told us the hotel was only 3 weeks old. That's why it is so clean because a lot of people haven't come here to make a mess. The Holiday Inn Express has a pool, exercise room, breakfast bar with coffee. When we first walked into our room, it was dark and when we turned on the lights, I saw it was the best hotel I'd stayed at. It has a TV, microwave, iron, blow dryer, nice towels. There is a shower/bath and most of all, a toilet! The beds were so comfortable that my Mom wanted to take it home with her. I just wanted to take the whole hotel with me in the trunk of my car! Just joking. The next morning we went down to eat breakfast and it was amazing! There was a pancake machine and the bacon was so good, i wanted to eat the whole tray! There was a cereal bar, yogurt and milk. Even my mom got to eat something since she is gluten-free.
Overall this place gets 5 thumbs up and would be a good place for you family to stay when you come to Missoula. http://www.hiexpress.com/hotels/us/en/reservation?destination=MISSOULA%2CMT%2CUnited+States&sicreative=6802197674&sicontent=0&sitrackingid=160312804&cm_mmc=Google-PS-HolidayInnExpress-_-G+B-AmericasWest-_-MT-Missoula-_-holiday+inn+express+missoula&siclientid=1962#hotelsearchresult

El Comalon on Hwy 2

On a Monday night, Mom didn't feel like cooking so we went out to eat. We went to a place called El Comalon  on Highway 2 because it was close to us and sounded like good food. It was my mom, my dad, myself and my nine-month old sister.
I liked the front entrance. It had a little fountain; they put a lot of work into the place. There were nice pictures and the TV had sports on. The walls were green. Some were empty but some had beautiful pictures. The men's bathroom was small. The bummer is that was not a changing table for my sister.
The food was great. They had large plates for the bigger meals. I got a hamburger and it was amazing because it was a little crispy on the top and chewy in the middle. The fries had a spicy but not too spicy seasoningon them.It took them a while for the drinks but getting the food was fast. My mom and dad both liked their Mexican dishes.
Overall the food was good. Even if the bathrooms are small and there is no changing table, the food is good value and to me, this place gets 4 thumbs up.

Hi, I'm new here.

I am excited to have this experience of blogging. This is a way to show kids and families in Spokane where to have fun and get some yummy food. Check in often!
BTW: This is a picture of me roasting S'Mores at Hu Hot in the Spokane Valley. I did this for my family dinner for my 8th birthday.Roasting marshmallows inside is fun to do and getting the perfectly roasted marshmallow is easy. Try it sometime!
